New Happenings to Captivate Every Audience
Cypress Gardens, FL – There are hundreds of reasons to visit Cypress Gardens in the upcoming months and now the park is adding to these reasons with new and exciting guest experiences.
Nature’s Way is getting a make over! Cypress Gardens is going to be giving its animal encounter area, Nature’s Way, a new name and fresh look. More animal exhibits are being added for guest interaction and education. Also being added is a one-hour tour that will take guests behind the scenes of several of the animal areas and will include up-close encounters with reptiles, a lemur and other unique animals. The tour will initially be offered at $10 for park guests and $8 for Gold Passport members. Guests will also be able to purchase nectar for $1 to personally feed the colorful lorikeets and a tray of fish for $1 to feed a pelican.
Future concerts will be the highlight of new and exciting special events hosted at the park. Guests can look forward to celebrating Latin Fest May 5-11. Tito Nieves, Carlos Oliva, Ismael Miranda and other phenomena Latin style entertainment including mariachi bands and a traditional Spanish guitarist will be performing in the festival. Also, one lucky young lady will have the chance to win a Quinceañera celebration valued at $10,000. Memorial Day weekend May 24-26 will be full of exciting entertainment and activities. Lynyrd Skynyrd will take the concert stage Saturday, May 24 at 7:30 p.m. Additional concerts scheduled for the year include: Randy Owen (June 14); Need to Breathe, Building 429 and Jars of Clay (June 28); and Billy Currington (Oct. 24).
Kids and parents can celebrate the beginning of summer by visiting Cypress Gardens’ Splash Island water park. Splash Island will be open every day starting May 1. Guests can enjoy the chills and thrills of the Splash Island water park, with only one thing missing; a separate admission price. Park visitors can catch a brand new Chinese acrobat show starting Memorial Day weekend. The impressive skills and grace of these amazing performers are sure to captivate everyone. Also starting Memorial Day weekend and running through the summer will be a nighttime ski show. Guests can now experience the excitement of the world famous ski show in a unique and rare setting.
To enhance guest experience, the park’s concert venue will be undergoing renovations for the next few months. These very important renovations include enhancing the sound system, improving the lighting throughout the venue and adding more seating for the guests. An approximate $500,000 renovation on the

Magnolia Mansion has also just been completed. This beautiful venue is the perfect place for company picnics, corporate functions, Quinceañera celebrations, weddings and any other special occasion. Catering is also available by the park’s own Renowned Chef! Many more upgrades and changes are planned throughout the year and will be announced this summer.
